Before you start, know what you have
List what has to move: children and families, staff, the fee table, the assessment tools in use, report templates. Note where each comes from: paper, Excel sheets or a previous system.
Move the core data first
Children, families, staff and rooms are the base for everything else. Move them first and check them, then schedules and fees. The old paper archive does not all have to move in the first month.
Train each team on what it uses
- Therapists: the session screen, assessment and the plan.
- Front desk: booking and the parent portal.
- Accounts and HR: invoices, attendance and payroll.
Training each team on its daily work is faster and sticks better than training everyone on everything.
Start with new children, then move current ones
A practical approach: new children start on the system straight away, and current files move over gradually. The team works on the system from day one without the pressure of moving every file at once.
Set a day when paper stops
Running both for a long time doubles the work and confuses the team. Set a clear date after which the system is the only reference.
How this works in Enable 360
Going live on Enable 360 takes about a month, longer or shorter depending on how many assessment tools the center needs customized. Data migration from existing systems is part of setup, and the first year of technical support is free.
